The Blue Hill Library serves all the people of Blue Hill Peninsula: children, adults, people of all backgrounds and circumstances who seek information and the pleasure that comes from the life of the mind. The library also serves as a dynamic cultural center, preserving the past while exploring the future. Newer multimedia technologies are integrated with the traditional collections of books, maps, periodicals, and newspapers. The library sponsors lectures and discussion groups; hosts community meetings; exhibits displays of local history and contemporary art. The Blue Hill Library opens doors to the adventures of learning. The Library is committed to freedom of expression as indispensable to the search for truth and to an informed citizenry.
NEWS FLASH: Paint the Peninsula, the library's Fresh paint Silent Auction will take place on July 20th. Whether you are a painter or interested in local art, this is a very fun fundraiser.
